Amman Arab University" ranked 12th among Jordanian universities and 110th among Arab universities in the QS Arab Region 2025 rankings
In line with Amman Arab University's commitment to continuing its journey of excellence in prestigious global rankings, the university has made significant progress in the QS Arab Region 2025 rankings. It secured 12th place among all public and private Jordanian universities and 110th place among all Arab universities. This achievement reflects a remarkable improvement in all classification criteria this year, with an overall increase of 8.5 points compared to last year. This accomplishment reaffirms the university's position as one of the top universities at both the local and Arab levels.
Concerning Academic Reputation, the university achieved a significant leap, with an increase of 11.8 points in this criterion compared to last year. In terms of Employer Reputation, the university achieved a rise of 8.1 points in this criterion compared to the previous year. Additionally, the university made significant progress across the Arab world in the field of Research Citations, securing second place among all Arab universities and achieving a perfect score of 100% in this criterion.
The university advancement in the Academic Quality indicator related to the faculty members holding PhDs, received a perfect score of 100% in this criterion among all Arab universities. In the area of Web Impact, the university made considerable progress, with an increase of 32.5 points compared to last year. This improvement is due to the enrichment and enhancement of the university’s website content, particularly in academic and research fields, serving the needs of the university’s students, faculty members, and researchers both locally and across the Arab region.
Professor Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, stated that the university's ranking among the top 12 Jordanian universities and the top 110 Arab universities, along with its progress across all ranking criteria, reaffirms its significant standing in the Arab region as a leading educational institution committed to provide high-quality education and research. This ranking also reflects the excellence of the university's graduates in the job market and the university’s commitment to continue improvement and development, which is reflected in its academic programs and curricula.
Al-Widyan also appreciated the efforts of all faculty and administrative members, as well as the Accreditation and Classification Department, for their dedication to following the ranking criteria. He highlighted that Amman Arab University has laid out an ambitious plan aimed at achieving academic and research excellence and enhancing local and international partnerships, placing the university in a prominent position in both local and global rankings.
It is worth noting that the QS Arab ranking supports the university's improvement and development plans in both its academic and administrative units by evaluating ten key criteria, including academic reputation, employer reputation, quality of education, research quality, and web impact, in addition to several international standards that assess the university's global performance.
