
Dr. Sama'a Taha from "Amman Arab University" Participates in Oman Climate Week and Presents an Entrepreneurial Project on Sustainability and Innovation
In line with Amman Arab University's vision to promote sustainability and foster a culture of innovation, Dr. Sama'a Taha, a faculty member at the Faculty of Pharmacy, participated in Oman Climate Week, held in Muscat, Oman, from February 24-26, 2025. The event brought together a distinguished group of leaders and experts from around the world to take action and achieve climate goals. The week featured the latest global climate solutions and discussions on how these solutions can support the Middle East, North Africa, and the world in decarbonization efforts. The event also included inspiring talks, practical workshops, and an innovative exhibition showcasing the latest low-carbon technologies and environmental industries shaping a sustainable future.
During her participation, Dr. Taha presented an entrepreneurial project titled "Sustainable Pharmaceutical and Food Industries Using a Patented CO2 Removal Technology," which was selected as one of the top 10 projects in the "Global Climate Future Leaders" program. The project received funding from the Omani Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation. The innovative project aims to address climate change by integrating advanced CO2 removal technology into the pharmaceutical and food sectors, contributing to reducing carbon footprints, enhancing sustainability, and building a greener future.
