Training Workshop on “Building and Programming EV3 Robots” at Amman Arab University
In an ongoing initiative to prepare students for the job market, the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Amman Arab University hosted a specialized training workshop called “Building and Programming EV3 Robots.” Dr. Omar Al-Akash, a staff member at the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics, oversaw the workshop.
Throughout the 10-day workshop, students received 20 hours of training where they were taught about the different parts and elements of the EV3 robot, as well as how to assemble them. They also gained practical knowledge using the Mindstorm software for controlling the robot, learning commands to direct the robot’s movements and using sensors to ensure it stays on a designated path.
The workshop focused on students in the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics, aiming to improve their theoretical and practical understanding of robotics to better equip them for the constantly changing technology in the job market.
