The College of Engineering was established in 2016 and currently consists of three academic departments offering bachelor's degrees in:
- Architecture Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Renewable Energy Engineering
These programs are based on modern and advanced curricula aimed at achieving specific educational goals, ensuring that graduates acquire the skills and capabilities needed to meet the demands of the job market. These programs also reflect the college's role, stemming from the university’s vision to serve and promote the development of the local community, while adhering to the highest local and international standards. The college is currently implementing a strategic plan to have its academic programs accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) from the United States of America, ensuring the preservation of its excellence in engineering education in Jordan and the region.
The College of Engineering at Amman Arab University strives to be a leader and pioneer in the fields of engineering education, scientific research, and community service. The college consists of a distinguished group of academics who represent a comprehensive blend of knowledge and research, preparing graduates with high competence and the ability to compete in both local and regional job markets, thus contributing to enhancing the national economy and achieving sustainable development. The college also academically prepares its graduates to pursue postgraduate studies in their respective disciplines.
The college places special emphasis on practical aspects and field training, aiming to equip students with the essential skills related to the engineering profession. The Student Portfolio is activated, offering free courses to students in areas relevant to the job market, helping them acquire the necessary skills that align with market demands, with a focus on their specific fields of study. The college’s laboratories are equipped with the latest advanced devices to support theoretical material and enhance the practical aspect, contributing to students gaining effective communication and teamwork skills.
Currently, the college includes twelve specialized laboratories, five engineering studios, computer labs, and modern engineering workshops. The college’s philosophy focuses on finding solutions to engineering problems, fostering collaboration between academia and industry, and strengthening ties between faculty members and the local community.
