Faculty of Computer Sciences and Informatics Participates in the Closing Ceremony of the "Cyber Warriors" Competition at Amman Arab University
College of Computer Sciences and Informatics AAU was well-represented during the "Cyber Warriors" competition's concluding ceremony. The National Cyber Security Center, Al Hussein Technical University, and the "Octopian Security" company collaborated to organize this event. Drs. Omar Al-Marayat and Walaa Al-Omari attended the ceremony on behalf of the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics.
The contest provided a valuable forum for showcasing and evaluating students' proficiency in the cybersecurity major. Teams of students from different universities competed fiercely, putting their skills to the test in managing challenging cyber situations and emergencies.
Remarkably, Ahmed Wasfi Obeidat, a cybersecurity student at Amman Arab University's College of Computer Science and Informatics, made it to the competition's final round, demonstrating the high caliber of instruction and preparation offered to students specializing in cybersecurity at the college.
Dr. Hossam Al-Hamad, dean of the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics, expressed his pride in the students who participated and their outcomes. He commended the students' efforts, stressing that these contests help them develop their practical skills and offer worthwhile chances to put their skills to the test in a real-world setting. Additionally, he urged students to keep participating in these activities since they help them enhance their abilities and prepare them for the cybersecurity workforce.
