Social Engineering Workshop for Amman Arab University Student
The IT Club conducted a valuable workshop at the College of Computer Science and Informatics at Amman Arab University. The interactive workshop focussed on "Social Engineering" for students, presented by cyber security experts Engineer Ahmad Al-Taslaq from ‘Green Circle’ and Engineer Waleed Al-Shawawreh, a certified ‘Udemy’ instructor. The engineers offered an engaging workshop where the students highly valued it. They explained to the students the danger of cyber security targeting people rather than systems. Besides, they discussed various defensive strategies and how students may recognize the strategy and teach them skills to deal with these cyber threats, supporting the university’s mission to prepare students for the job market by imparting essential practical skills.
The Dean of the college, Dr. Hossam Al-Hamad, explained the importance of such workshops where students learn by practice, unlike traditional classroom learning. These workshops help empower students and prepare them for the real world. This workshop is part of several coming workshops with the IT Club's cooperation. Therefore, Amman Arab University is aware of fostering a solid educational base that helps minimize the gap between modern knowledge and industry-relevant skills, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for the dynamic demands of the job market.
