College of Engineering at AAU Participates in the International Conference “Artificial Intelligence: A Connecting Link in Water-Energy-Food – Environment Nexus”
College of Engineering at AAU participated in the international conference titled "Artificial Intelligence as the Connecting Link in the Water-Energy-Food-Environment Nexus (WEFE Nexus). The Conference was held under the patronage of Prince Hassan bin Talal. The Higher Council of Science and Technology organized the event in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Dr. Omar Asa’ad and Dr. Akram Mahmoud Mousa represented the university by contributing to discussions on utilizing emerging technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance sustainable development in the interconnected systems of water, energy, and the environment.
Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering, emphasized the importance of participation in such conferences to keep pace with the recent developments in relevant fields.. The conference distinctive discussions revolved around the role of artificial intelligence in optimizing water management, energy sustainability, and food security, aiming to develop integrated solutions for a sustainable environment.
