"Amman Arab University" Participates in Project to Train Academic Women on the Party System
Amman Arab University participated in the work of the project to train academic women on the party work system in universities. The University was represented in the project launched by the Jordanian Masarat Foundation for Development and Development by Dr. Nusaybah Al-Qutaish and Dr. Haya Al-Qadiri from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, which was titled: “Party Empowerment for Women in Universities” and with the support of the King Abdullah Fund for Development, this comes as an affirmation of the institution’s commitment to enhancing the status of women and their vital role in society and empowering them in the academic and political sectors.
The project aims to provide academic women with the skills and knowledge necessary to participate effectively in party work within universities, which enhances their role in political life. In this context, the Jordanian Masarat Foundation for Development and Development indicated that the project comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to support and empower Jordanian women in all areas of life and that the Jordanian state, through its various institutions, seeks to activate the role of women in decision-making positions, which requires strengthening their presence in the upcoming party and parliamentary scene, and that this project comes at a time when Jordan is witnessing preparations for holding the upcoming House of Representatives elections, as the various institutions seek to ensure the effective participation of all Social groups, including women, in the electoral process. The project also aims to motivate academic women to engage in party and political work, which will enhance their representation in the upcoming elections and contribute to achieving a balance in political participation between the genders.
At the conclusion of the project, the participants stressed the importance of these initiatives in achieving positive change, calling for more support and initiatives that enhance the role of women in political and academic life in Jordan.
