Free Training Course of Spanish Language at “Amman Arab University”

The College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs at Amman Arab University, organized a free training course of the Spanish language. The training course was opened by Dr. Nusaybah Al-Qutaish, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the College of Pharmacy, which will continue for a month, with one weekly meeting, during including basic conversations. Beginners need to learn the Spanish language, which qualifies them to interact with speakers of the language, such as introducing themselves and greetings, using airports and means of transportation, using restaurants, tourist recreational activities, and others.

Dr. Al-Qutaish, in the presence of Ms. Almudina Hassan and Dr. Mahmoud Al-Hayek from the International Certified Institute for the Spanish Language, reviewed the course; The importance of the Spanish language and its wide spread in the world, which is considered the official language in more than 21 countries and is spoken by more than 500 million people, in addition to providing rich cultural information about the history of Spain, including its profound influence on the arts, literature and music, where an enjoyable interactive atmosphere prevailed during the course.

The students showed great interest in participating in the competition that was held at the end of the first day of the course to evaluate the extent to which the educational outcomes of the day were achieved, as student Gamal Abdel Moneim from the College of Pharmacy won first place in the competition.

It is worth noting that the workshop reflects Amman Arab University’s commitment to providing distinguished educational opportunities that enhance students’ skills and abilities and expand their cultural and linguistic horizons, which contributes to preparing them for a diverse and multicultural world.
