Amman Arab University Succeeds in the Placement of Six Bachelor’s Programs
In an effort to achieve the vision of Amman Arab University in achieving advanced positions in local and international classifications and accreditations, and under the guidance of Professor. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of the University, and in cooperation with the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance at the University, the College of Engineering and College of Computer Sciences and Informatics were able to place their bachelor’s programs within the National Qualifications Framework. The placement programs at Amman Arab University becomes (7) out of (22) bachelor’s programs in its nine colleges.
In its session held on May 15, 2024, the Council of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions adopted its decision No. 15/2024 to place six bachelor’s programs, namely the Bachelor of Civil Engineering program, the Bachelor of Renewable Energy Engineering, the Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from the College of Engineering, and the Bachelor Software Engineering, a Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity, and a Bachelor’s in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics, in addition to the placement of a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy program by the end of 2023.
In turn, Dr. Husam Al-Hamad, Dean of the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics at Amman Arab University, said that this achievement came within the framework of the college’s endeavor to achieve its programs with all efficiency and ability to obtain local and international accreditations in order to achieve its objectives and the quality of its educational outcomes and in a way that benefits the college’s graduates and raises their competence to compete in the local and regional labor market.
For his part, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering at Amman Arab University, said that this achievement enables the college’s engineering graduates to join the labor market and the union with ease and ease, and that it is an important step on the path to local and international accreditation, as it refines students’ skills and raises the level of educational outcomes of different programs.
The President of Amman Arab University, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, congratulated this achievement on the members of the academic and administrative staff in the two colleges by the replacement of their programs, and urged them to move forward to achieve Jordanian accreditation for these programs, and for all bachelor’s programs at the University. He aspires for Amman Arab University to be a destination for all Jordanian and Arab students due to its distinguished and qualitative educational outcomes and achieving its objectives in sustainable development, including distinguished pioneering education, wishing everyone success and more effort and giving.
