Amman Arab University Implemented Training Workshop in“Patents and Intellectual Property”
The Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University, in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy and the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance at the university, held a training workshop entitled “Patents and Intellectual Property,” which targeted faculty members at Amman Arab University and public and private universities, presented by Dr. Samaa Taha from the College of Pharmacy at the university, which was hosted by the Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University.
The workshop addressed a number of topics, the most important of which are: the definition of a patent and its places of registration, how to determine the possibility of registering an idea as a patent, the general form of writing a patent and approved forms, the stages of verification until patent registration, and how to create an innovative idea, during which the lecture answered common questions about intellectual property.
It is noteworthy that after this workshop, the participant can acquire the general skills for writing and registering patents, and the policies and procedures followed at the University, which the academic and researcher must pass through in the event that he has any idea, project, or product that can be registered as a patent. This workshop comes through the efforts of the Center Creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University aims to spread and consolidate the culture of invention and entrepreneurship and provide all integrated services to inventors and entrepreneurs to support them, nurture them, develop their capabilities and develop their innovations from the idea until they have their own pioneering project.
It is worth noting that Dr. Samaa Taha has (17) published research and (5) international patents and participated in (4) international conferences in pharmaceutical innovation and medical genetics.
