Amman Arab University Partners with Social Security to Launch its Partnership with Educational Institutions for Scholarships
Under the patronage of the Director General of the General Institution for Social Security, Dr. Muhammad Al-Tarawneh, and in the presence of his assistants, and based on Amman Arab University’s endeavor to network with local community institutions to serve all its segments everywhere, and as an embodiment of aspects of academic and scientific cooperation between the University and the General Institution for Social Security, Amman Arab University participated in the launch ceremony of the Public Institution for Social Security, the partnership with private Jordanian universities and colleges, in the presence of the President of the University, Professor. Mohammad Al-Widyan, Mrs. Nadia Al-Qdimat, Assistant to the President for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Muhammad Nassar, Director of the Marketing Department at the University.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Tarawneh gave a speech in which he welcomed all educational bodies and attendees and announced the launch of the university scholarship platform for the General Organization for Social Security. This was followed by a speech by Prof. Al-Widyan, which he delivered on behalf of the universities and university colleges, in which he stressed the importance of the strategic and participatory relationship that brings together the educational bodies and the Social Security Corporation, and the need to expand aspects of joint cooperation among all parties in various fields, especially the academic field.
Prof. Al-Widyan expressed the happiness and pride of Amman Arab University to be an important and effective party through this partnership, which embodies the noblest human meanings and the most wonderful values, stressing the tireless endeavor to strengthen the strategic and participatory relationship between Amman Arab University and the General Organization for Social Security, especially the role played by the university. It is important to serve the community in light of its responsibility of providing university education opportunities for community members, and preparing graduates professionally to engage in the labor market.
Prof. Al-Widyan also stressed that Amman Arab University has taken diligent and distinguished steps in achieving its academic mission, and has been able to give itself an advanced position and a good reputation to be one of the leading universities, in addition to what distinguishes the university through its strategic location, ease of access, and the discounts and scholarships that the university grants to students studying according to conditions and instructions, and with regard to discounts and grants. During the ceremony, Prof .Al-Widyan presented scholarships from Amman Arab University, Jordanian, to members of the General Organization for Social Security, retirees, and their families, covering (100%) of the study hours for bachelor’s and master’s degrees, with (21) scholarships estimated to have a financial value of more than (225) thousand J.D.
At the end of the ceremony, the Director General of the General Organization for Social Security, Dr. Muhammad Al-Tarawneh, honored all the educational institutions, including universities and colleges that contributed to the success of launching this partnership. The following were honored: Mrs. Nadia Al-Qdimat, Assistant President of Amman Arab University for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Muhammad Nassar, Director of the Department of Marketing at the University.
