College of Sharia at Amman Arab University Receives Initial Approval to Obtain International Accreditation (IAA)
As part of Amman Arab University’s efforts to achieve its vision of obtaining prestigious international accreditations, and with direct follow-up from Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of the University, the College of Sharia obtained the necessary initial approvals from the International Accreditations Committee and from the Government Accreditation Authority in Turkey (IAA) to proceed with the procedures for obtaining international accreditation ( IAA) from the Islamic Sciences Accreditation Agency, after qualifying to fulfill the requirements of this accreditation.
In this regard, Dr. Murad Shakib, a faculty member and liaison officer at the College of Sharia at Amman Arab University, who follows up on the accreditation file, stated that the Sharia and Islamic Studies program at the college is committed to all national quality standards necessary to qualify for this international accreditation, due to the excellence the college provides in achieving quality outputs for its program and its students. Dr. Shakib stressed that the academic and administrative bodies at the College of Sharia are working hand in hand with the International Accreditations Committee at the University level to complete this file.
In turn, Dr. Bilal Abu Qaddom, Dean of the College of Sharia, indicated that the college believes in mastering the performance of work and activities with high quality and efficiency, in addition to following up on the accreditation file because of its important impact that reflects positively on the college in its attainment of international accreditation (IAA).
It is noteworthy that the Turkish International Accreditation (IAA) is the first at the Arab and Islamic level for colleges of Sharia and Islamic sciences, and is recognized in the European Union countries, as the Islamic Science Accreditation Agency is a leading agency that records quality by determining the quality of all types of religious services to society according to national and international standards and sharing the results with relevant institutions and organizations, as the College of Sharia at Amman Arab University will be one of the first colleges to obtain such accreditation in the Arab world and at the Kingdom level as well.
