Amman Arab University Participates in the "Events of the Fourth International Education Week”"
Amman Arab University participated in the "Fourth International Education Week", which was held at Yarmouk University in Jordan under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Azmi Mahafza.
Amman Arab University was represented in the activities of the forum, which lasted for 3 days and included more than 28 countries, a faculty member at the College of Educational Sciences, Prof. Khalid Abu Shaera, where the forum included specialized events, sessions, training and other introductory workshops to discuss a range of topics, such as fairness and inclusiveness in higher education, and digital transformation in higher education: "Trends and best practices", and the integration of sustainable development goals in higher education strategies, student and virtual academic exchange: "Challenges and opportunities", innovation and employment, promoting vocational education and training, integrating the concepts of sustainable development in higher education, and international networking in various scientific fields.
During the forum, Prof. Abu Shaera participated in the theme "Integrating the Concepts of Sustainable Development in Higher Education," where discussions, interventions and questions were addressed to the speakers. Dr. Abu Shaira also participated in an intervention regarding the fourth goal of sustainable development, which is education and innovation, and the role of universities with regard to this goal, indicating the role of Amman Arab University in relation to sustainable development and its hosting of the Arab Council for Sustainable Development as one of the Arab councils emanating from the Union of Arab Universities, and holding a conference related to sustainable development.
It is worth mentioning that the forum is concerned with bringing together specialists and experts to exchange views and experiences from all countries of the world regarding education issues, and is held annually.
