Amman Arab University Implements a Training Workshop in “Creative Ideas and Intellectual Property”
The Center for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, held a training workshop entitled “Creative Ideas and Intellectual Property,” presented by Dr. Samaa Taha, a faculty member in the College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, targeting students in all majors.
The workshop addressed a number of topics, the most important of which are: the definition of a patent and its places of registration, how to determine the possibility of registering an idea as a patent, the general form of writing a patent and approved forms, the stages of verification until patent registration, how to create an innovative idea, in addition to answering common questions about intellectual property.
In this regard, Dr. Samaa Taha confirmed that after this workshop, the participant will be able to acquire the general skills for writing and registering patents, and the policies and procedures followed at the University, which the student must pass through if he has any idea, project, or product that can be registered as a patent.
It is worth noting that Dr. Samaa is an assistant professor in the field of pharmaceutical innovation and medical genetics at the College of Pharmacy. She has (16) published research and (5) international patents and participated in (4) international conferences in pharmaceutical innovation and medical genetics.
This workshop comes as part of the Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center’s endeavor to spread and consolidate the culture of creativity and entrepreneurship and provide all integrated services to innovators and entrepreneurs to support, nurture, develop their capabilities and develop their innovations from the idea until they have their own pioneering project.
