Amman Arab University is Ranked Ninth in the Webometrics International Classification
As part of its ongoing endeavors to achieve its strategic goals and future aspirations in all aspects; Amman Arab University maintained the same rank as the previous session, which is ninth at the level of public and private Jordanian universities according to the Webometrics classification. The university also achieved advanced ranks at the level of Arab and international universities, as the university maintained its second rank among private universities in the (excellence) standard.
On this occasion, Professor. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, indicated that the university’s obtaining this ranking in the Webometrics classification comes as a result of the efforts of all employees at the university. He thanked the Information and Communications Technology Center for implementing the work plan to raise the classification in the most appropriate manner, and pointed out that the university has developed an ambitious plan. Through it, it seeks to bring about improvement and development in all aspects of its work, ensuring an advanced position among local and regional universities and achieving an advanced ranking in international classifications.
Prof. Al-Widyan also added that the contents of the university’s website constitute a window to highlight the university’s excellence and efforts in all academic and research fields and its service to the local community, and reflects a positive image of its students and employees, meeting all the expectations of stakeholders to bring the university to global status
It is worth noting that the Webometrics classification is an international classification approved for all universities in the world, organized by a center affiliated with the largest public research body in Spain. The classification includes three levels at the world level, at the region level, and at the country level. The classification began to be adopted in 2004, when it included the classification 16 thousand universities, and the classification aims to adopt a classification of academic bodies in the world, and reflect the scientific activities of academic bodies to demonstrate their distinguished scientific level, in addition to improving scientific competencies in all academic sectors.
