Launching the “Give Me Your Book” and “Guidance for New Students” Initiatives At Amman Arab University
The initiatives (Give Me Your Book) and (Guidance for New Students) were launched at Amman Arab University, and on behalf of the University President, Professor. Mohamad Al-Widyan, Professor. Ismail Yamin, Assistant of the University President for Academic Affairs, sponsored the opening of the two initiatives, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, periodically at the beginning of each semester, and in the presence of The Dean of Student Affairs, Professor. Khaled Bani Hamdan, the Dean of the College of Business, Professor. Hassan Al-Zoubi, the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Alaa Al-Bawat, and the deanship staff, with the participation of a number of students from various specializations, where Dr. Yamin praised these initiatives; Because of its impact on deepening social responsibility. The aim of launching this type of initiative was to increase the bonds of cooperation between students and enhance the spirit of partnership among them. These initiatives emerged from the university’s vision to be a distinguished University in education and effective in building society, as the University pays most of its attention to providing an environment that develops the student’s thought to be an active and creative element that benefits society.
On the Other hand, Prof. Bani Hamdan confirmed that “Give Me Your Book” initiative is one of the initiatives of the Deanship of Student Affairs, through which it aims to enhance social responsibility, bonds of familiarity and love among students through their exchange of scientific references and books among themselves, as well as promoting the culture of preserving natural resources and adopting what enhances sustainability by making use of books for more than one student. Moreover, “Guidance for New Students” initiative, aims to facilitate the process of matching students with the University environment and speed up the completion of transactions that can serve the student in using the University’s facilities and benefiting from what the University offers academically and purposeful extracurricular activities
