President of "Amman Arab University" Receives a Delegation from Balqa Governorate Council
President of Amman Arab University, Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, received in his office, in the presence of the Assistant President for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mrs. Nadia Al-Qdimat, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Awamleh, Chairman of the Decentralized Balqa Governorate Council, and Mr. Osama Al-Wreikat, Member of the Balqa Governorate Council.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation between the University and the Balqa Governorate Council, which have a close relationship and joint means of cooperation aimed at serving the local community in general and the Balqa Governorate in particular with all its districts and administrative regions. In addition to discussing ways of cooperation in the cultural and social fields in terms of the embodiment of social responsibility, enhancing youth participation and launching initiatives.
In this regard, Prof. Al-Widyan said that the relationship with society is a two-way relationship, the first is based on social responsibility, and this requires us to work within the framework of community service and providing it with entrepreneurship ideas, and the other direction is related to the extent to which the community can serve the university in terms of support and active participation, and that the social responsibility of universities is the third function of universities is through its enlightening role and participation in providing social and awareness services. The university provides scientific, cultural and research knowledge through its faculty members and students in dealing with and addressing economic and social issues.
In turn, both Mr. Al-Awamleh and Mr. Al-Wreikat praised the distinguished role of Amman Arab University in community service and the continuous initiatives that the university constantly puts forward to serve the local community in all academic and societal ways. Accordingly, Mr. Al-Awamleh, in his name and in the name of the Governorate Council, honored Amman Arab University represented by its president, Professor Mohamad Al-Widyan for his active and discriminating role in serving the local community.
