Workshop on European Support Programs at Amman Arab University
Within the framework of the efforts of the International Office and External Relations at Amman Arab University to guide faculty members for local and regional support programs, and to develop and raise the level of faculty members and in coordination with the Department of Academic Development, an introductory workshop related to European Union support programs was implemented, presented by Prof. Fahmy Abu Al-Rub over two days. Prof. Abu-Al-Rub gave an introductory lecture on the European Union's support programs and grants to Jordanian higher education institutions, and the opportunities and programs available to faculty members and students.
During the workshop, Abu Al-Rub indicated the objectives, conditions and special instructions to benefit from these programs and how to apply and obtain grants, reviewing the stages of the projects that are funded.
Dr. Abu Al-Rub pointed out that the most prominent objectives of these programs are to improve the quality of education, the skills of workers in the field of higher education, and education in line with the requirements of the labor market. He pointed out the importance of updating higher education policies and regulations with regard to joint projects and education outputs that reflect positively on students.
