Students of pharmacy at Amman Arab University Produce Pharmaceuticals in Practice
Within the framework of Amman Arab University's efforts to raise the efficiency and capabilities of its students, enhance their scientific and applied skills and develop their performance to qualify them to compete for meaningful job opportunities, and in implementation of the agreement concluded between the University and the Vocational Training Corporation, College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Consulting and Training Center at the University, organized a scientific visit to the Center of Excellence for Pharmaceutical Industries of the Vocational Training Corporation, Salt Branch for students at the fourth year level
The students were received by Engineer Omar Al-Fawuri, Deputy Director of the Center and Pharmacist Ahmed Al-Kouz, who in turn highlighted the Center's role in providing an educational and training environment that simulates the work environment and in line with the actual production lines in pharmaceutical factories. The center provides all the necessary equipment for the production of solid pharmaceuticals.
The visit included training on all stages of pharmaceutical production from the preparation, mixing and kneading of raw materials, and then pressing, dressing and packaging tablets as a final product after conducting inter-examination tests that demonstrate the quality and safety of the product product and the commitment of students in the foundations of good manufacturing and all procedures for pharmaceutical control and occupational and environmental health and safety.
At the end of the visit, the supervisor accompanying the students, chemical engineer Aisha Jarrah, on behalf of Amman Arab University, expressed her thanks and appreciation to the center's management for their good reception, cooperation and the great opportunity they gave their students to open new horizons to acquire practical professional skills through which they can compete stronger in the labor market in the pharmaceutical sector.
