A Cooperation Agreement between "Amman Arab University" and the Baqa'a Camp Services Committee
Amman - Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, stressed the importance and necessity of partnerships with the local community, which the university took upon itself to contribute to reducing the problems of poverty and unemployment. During signing the cooperation agreement with the Al-Baqa’a Camp Services Committee, Prof. Al-Widyan said that the University offers partial scholarships to the residents of the camp. Al-Baqa’a is in addition to the quality seasonal services that the University provides through the University’s Social Responsibility Office, based on its social responsibility and the provision of educational opportunities for all segments of society.
The University concluded a cooperation agreement signed by, Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, and on behalf of the Camp Services Committee, the head of the committee, Dr. Hassan Marshoud, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Nassar, Director of the Marketing Department, Mr. Waddah Mismar, Director of the Media and Public Relations Department, Mr. Bassam Al-Bashaira, the university’s consultant for social responsibility, and Mrs. Basima Abu Jaber, member of the University Council.
In this regard, Dr. Marshoud expressed his happiness at signing this agreement, which translates the true meaning of social solidarity, and stressed that the Baqa'a Camp Services Committee expresses its pride in the Amman Arab University for the many discounts and privileges it offers towards the local community and the camp's residents.
