Workshop in "Domestic Violence" for Amman Arab University Students
The Cultural Committee at the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University organized two workshops on "Domestic Violence" as part of the "16 Days" campaign to combat violence against women, in implementation of the committee's work plan for the academic year 2022-2023.
The Dean of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the University, Dr. Hyam Al-Taj, opened these workshops, which came under the staff of the Chairman of the Cultural Committee and a faculty member in the Department of Psychological and Educational Counseling, Prof. Suhaila Banat, in cooperation with the Women's Department in the Greater Amman Municipality, in the presence Dr. Zain Al-Abadi from the Women's Department at the Greater Amman Municipality carried out these workshops, which targeted students of the Department of Psychological and Educational Counseling at the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University, where she presented practical applications, exercises and presentations on the subject of violence, and dealt with a case study from society who were subjected to domestic violence.
The students showed great interest in the subject of the workshop through the dialogue and discussion that took place in the workshop, where the students showed the extent to which they benefited from the implementation of such workshops because of their importance from the practical and practical side
The Chairman of the Cultural Committee, Prof. Suhaila Banat, thanked Dr. Zain Al-Abadi for her kindly presenting the two workshops, and praised the efforts made by the Women's Department in the Greater Amman Municipality to deal with cases of domestic violence in the community
