Educational Awareness Lecture on Peptic Ulcer and Gastroesophageal Reflux at "Amman Arab University"
Amman - Deputizing for Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, Dr. Khaled Bani Hamdan, Dean of Student Affairs, sponsored an educational awareness lecture entitled "Between Peptic Ulcer and Gastroesophageal Reflux", which was presented by a consultant of gastroenterology and hepatology in the private sector, Dr. Naim Abu Nabaa and organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs and in cooperation with the health center on the university campus.
At the beginning of the lecture, Dr. Adeeb Masroujeh, Director of the Health Center, welcomed the lecturer and University students, and said that the health center is always working to contribute to raising the level of health awareness in the university and the local community.
During the lecture, Dr. Abu Nabaa explained the symptoms of peptic ulcer and esophageal reflux, how to deal with them, and the procedures used for treatment. Some digestive diseases, irritable bowel diseases, and H. pylori were also discussed in terms of symptoms and treatment method through the required laboratory tests.
An extensive discussion took place at the end of the lecture, during which Abu Nabaa answered the audience's questions about the most common symptoms of peptic ulcer feeling a burning pain in the stomach, exacerbated by stomach acid.
