A Panel Discussion in "Amman Arab University" to Reveal the High Levels of Interleukin Proteins
Amman - Believing in the importance of exchanging experiences, knowledge, and research orientations among the faculty members of the College of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, the activities of the Scientific Research Club (Journal Club) were launched with a dialogue workshop for a research paper entitled (Detection and Clinical Significance of Serum IL-17 and IL- 15) Presented by a faculty member at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Jaf.
Members of the college of the Department of Pharmacy participated in the discussion, during which the relationship of elevated concentrations of IL-15 and IL-17 in the serum of patients with Rheumatoid Arlhristis in Jordan was presented, with the emergence and rise of other pathological indicators such as CRP, anti-CCP, TJC, SJC, DAS-28 in these patients during disease progression and severity.
The study concluded that the increase in the concentrations of IL-15 and IL-17 proteins and their relationship to the emergence and elevation of other indicators are among the indicators that can be adopted in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, in addition to the possibility of using modern biological treatments such as IL-15 antagonists and IL-17 antagonists in the form of antibiotics. Biological monoclonal free of bad side effects as an alternative to chemical antibiotics that have bad side effects on the patient.
These results are considered a new beginning for the use of modern biological medicines in the treatment of these diseases and others, and that marks the start of a modern period in the use of biological treatments that are environmentally friendly in production and free from bad side effects on patients.
