“Amman Arab University ” Hosts International Congress for Social Responsibility
Prof.Ikhlas Al-Tarawneh, Acting President of Amman Arab University, received His Excellency Mr. Abdul Latif bin Muhammad Al-Ali, Director-General of the International Federation for Social Responsibility and Managing Director of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, in the presence of Mr. Bassam Al-Bashayrah, University Advisor for Social Responsibility, and Mr. Wadah Mesmar, Director of the Department of Media and Public Relations at the university.
Prof. Al-Tarawneh welcomed Mr. Abdullatif Al-Ali and blessed this visit. During the meeting, she referred to Amman Arab University’s constant endeavor to build relationships and partnerships with international institutions and organizations, the most important of which is the regional network for social responsibility and joint means of cooperation, which recently resulted in the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the university and the organization, in addition to Amman Arab University obtaining membership in the Regional Network for Social Responsibility in the category of institutions.
Prof. Al-Tarawneh indicated the efforts made by Amman Arab University continuously to achieve the university's vision to be "a distinguished university in education and scientific research and effective in building a knowledge society", in addition to the university's social responsibility management plan in applying local and international standards for social responsibility practices in its mission "to provide programs and educational, training, research, social and economic projects and initiatives that promote sustainable development through joint cooperation with various community institutions.
For his part, Mr. Al-Ali expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the university in making everything related to social responsibility and community service a success, indicating the importance of partnership between Amman Arab University and the Regional Network for Social Responsibility and His Excellency Dr. Ali Al Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Business Development Affairs.
In turn, Mr. Al-Ali, on behalf of the International Federation of Social Responsibility and the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, handed over a number of certificates to the university, namely:
- Certificate of honorary membership in the International Federation of Social Responsibility for Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University.
- Certificate of membership of the Amman Arab University in the International Federation of Social Responsibility.
- Certificate of renewal of Amman Arab University membership in the regional network for social responsibility.
It is noteworthy that the Amman Arab University, in cooperation with the International Federation for Social Responsibility and the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, is about to hold a very important event, which is the (International Congress for Social Responsibility) in its third edition next September at the Amman Arab University, where the meeting touched on the importance of this event and the equipment which has been worked on to host and succeed the next Congress, the fruits of which are the fruits of cooperation between Amman Arab University, the International Union for Social Responsibility and the Regional Network for Social Responsibility.
