Students of "Amman Arab University" are Designing Computerized Educational Films

Students of "Amman Arab University" are Designing Computerized Educational Films
 
 Amman - College of Educational and Psychological Sciences, in partnership with College of Computer Sciences and Informatics at Amman Arab University, organized a competition for designing computerized educational films for University students.
 
 This competition is considered the second edition at the University level in this field. The competition included the best computerized educational film by the participating students. It was judged by the committee consisting of Dr. Jihad Al-Momani, Dr. Manar Mezher, and Mr. Muhammad Bani Yassin.
 
 The following colleges participated in the competition: College of Educational and Psychological Sciences, College of Computer Sciences and Informatics, College of Business and College of Sharia. The number of films was 15 films. Student Amani Khalil Al-Qarmseh won first place, student Amal Salim Gohar won second place, and student Buthaina Rashid Hakawati won the third place.
 
 In this regard, Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, President of the University, said that the aim of this competition is to encourage University students to actively participate in such qualitative competitions as the competition for the production of educational films, to be the starting point for a new phase that achieves partnership between students and their teachers and raises their abilities and qualifications by ensuring that they enjoy the knowledge and personality that may raise their scientific, practical and operational potential, adding that the idea is subject to expansion and improvement.
 
 The students participated in distinguished performances with the following titles: The slow death gap, the difference between a leader and a manager, and motivation between art and skill.
 
 
 In this regard, the Assistant President for Planning and Quality Assurance and Dean of the College of Computer Sciences and Informatics, Dr. Hossam Al-Hamad, said that such activities enhance the spirit of competition among students to provide their best skills and experiences to produce quality educational films that enrich the digital content of courses in the various colleges of the University.
 
 
 Dean of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences, Dr. Hiyam Al-Taj, confirmed that such competitions were able to achieve the desired educational goals and to bring students to what is known as understanding-based learning, which guarantees the achievement of qualitative educational outcomes.
 
 In turn, Dr. Jihad Al-Momani, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said, “It has become clear to us, through our supervision of this competition and our teaching of some courses related to e-learning, that many university students possess distinguished computer skills and experiences that deserve attention, follow-up and continuous motivation by teachers, and the exploitation of these skills through diversity in course projects so that one of the options is to produce targeted educational films for the course to encourage students with experience to develop new skills in the production of educational films.
 
 It is noteworthy that Amman Arab University is keen to support students' participation in local and regional competitions in various fields and to dissiminate and promote a culture of excellence and creativity among students in light of the efforts made by the University to foster creativity, excellence and entrepreneurship.
