"Amman Arab University" Transfers Labor Market to the Campus
Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Nayef Istitieh, the Honorable Minister of Labor, Amman Arab University/Deanship of Student Affairs (Office of Career Guidance and Graduate Follow-up) in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and the Pioneers Academy organized the seventh career fair at Amman Arab University.
Director of the Central Employment Directorate, Dr. Aoun Al-Nahar, said that the job fairs held by the Ministry of Labor come within the executive plan of the Ministry through the labor directorates to contribute more broadly to providing job opportunities of various kinds and to bring the distance between institutions, companies and people of local communities.
Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, president of the University, welcomed the University’s guests from various sectors participating in the career day, and that the University seeks to establish career days to help university students and graduates to find distinguished job opportunities through companies and local community institutions in light of the magnitude of the challenges facing university graduates in obtaining , he also extended his thanks to all the supporters and participants in making the career day a success.
For his part, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Bani Hamdan, spoke in his speech that the University seeks to provide job and employment opportunities for its students and for the members of the local community, out of its responsibility to contribute to development processes, noting that this exhibition is the seventh organized by the university. He also talked about the student skills portfolio, which allows students to acquire skills in various training, whether general or specialization, that qualifies them for the labor market.
Mr. Ayman Al-Lahham / Pioneers Academy also thanked the University and praised the cooperation with it, explaining that the career day at Amman Arab University is one of the best career days in which the academy participated.
63 companies and institutions in various fields, most notably management, engineering and information technology, participated in the event, which provided 390 job opportunities.
It should be noted that this day constituted a source of support for many students, as the Center for Entrepreneurship and Creative Business at the university presented many pioneering projects for university students, and it is intended to support them. Many graduate students were hosted and gave them the opportunity through a bazaar in which they participated in marketing their products.
