University Leaders Conference at Amman Arab University
Amman Arab University is participating in the second conference of university leaders under the title “Towards a Unified Arab Vision to Achieve the Goals of Sustainable Development 2030”, which will be held hypothetically during the period 23-25/5/2022.
This important conference comes under the auspices of the Association of Arab Universities represented by the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, organized by a number of Arab universities, and in partnership with the European-Arab Network for Studies, University of Victoria, United Kingdom, and the International Friendship Organization Professor. Ikhlas Al-Tarawneh, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Director of the Sustainable Development Council of the Association of Arab Universities, participated in a paper on sustainable development at Amman Arab University, in which Dr. Al-Tarawneh summarized the efforts and initiatives of the University in the field of sustainable development during the previous period, and the future plans in sustainable development until 2030.
Prof. Al-Tarawneh emphasized the role of Amman Arab University and its great contribution to achieving the global of sustainable development and its consolidation of these goals in its procedural plans, strategic plan, and all its initiatives and activities. She also pointed out that what the university presented and offered in the field of sustainable development and social responsibility is a model to follow in the field of community service and contribution to its comprehensive and sustainable development. It is expected that at the conclusion of this conference, the formulation and unification of a common vision for all Arab universities in the field of sustainable development and the activation of joint Arab action in this field will be achieved.
