King of Spain awards the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of "Amman Arab University" the Spanish Civil Merit Medal, with the rank of Knight
Amman - His Excellency the Spanish Ambassador to Jordan, Aránzazu Bañón Dávalos, awarded Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Amman Arab University, Lawyer Dr. Omar Mashhour Al-Jazi, the Spanish Civil Merit Medal with the rank of Knight, which was awarded to him by King Philip VI of Spain in appreciation of Al-Jazi’s efforts in developing Jordanian-Spanish relations, and in the presence of a gathering included a number of Their Highnesses princes, princesses, statesmen and diplomats at the residence of the Spanish Ambassador
At the ceremony held on Thursday, the Spanish ambassador praised the historical Jordanian-Spanish relations, noting Al-Jazi's efforts to develop relations.
Dr. Al-Jazi thanked Spain, the King and its people, for this great appreciation, recalling the historical relations between the two friendly countries, stressing that the most important characteristic of Spain is diversity and tolerance, which is mainly due to the spirit of Andalusia and the civilizational revival that Spain witnessed in that important era.
Finally, Dr. Al-Jazi presented the Spanish ambassador with a copy of the Jordanian constitution, translated into English, supported by all the jurisprudence and jurisprudential explanations of the great meanings contained in the constitution and as the main guarantor of freedoms.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, members of the Board of Trustees, and the President and the University family extend their warmest congratulations and blessings to the Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Dr.Al-Jazi for this honor.
