A Consultation held at College of Computer Sciences and Informatics - Amman Arab University
College of Computer Sciences and Informatics at Amman Arab University held its advisory board meeting for the academic year 2021/2022, which includes in its membership specialized representatives from various telecommunications and information technology institutions and companies in the public and private sectors.
Dean of the College, Dr. Hossam Al-Hamad pointed out the importance of the council’s meeting periodically with the aim of developing the college’s programs coping with the needs and requirements of the labor market. Al-Hamad indicated that the college began more than two years ago to develop and implement plans to qualify students for the labor market through the transformation of project-based learning and using modern education strategies. It has also developed plans to expand job rehabilitation and employment programs by intensifying the implementation of applied training workshops in all majors, in addition to establishing qualitative partnerships with information technology institutions and companies with the aim of training and qualifying students and preparing scientific research related to the needs of the local community.
For their part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Khasawneh and Dr. Hossam Mustafa, heads of the academic departments at the college, gave a brief introduction to what was achieved after the previous council meeting, and pointed to the preparation and approval of new study plans that are compatible with local and international accreditation criteria, and they emphasized the implementation of rehabilitation and employment plans that had the greatest impact.
