Under the patronage of the Minister of Agriculture, Amman Arab University celebrates Arbor Day
The delegate of His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Eng. Khaled Al-Hanaifat, Eng. Ayman Al-Oran, Director of Agriculture in the Capital Governorate, in the presence of his kindness, the Director of the Directorate of Agriculture in Al-Balqa Governorate, Eng. Qais Ali Abu Amira, and the President of Amman Arab University, Prof. Mohamad Al-Widyan, sponsored the University’s celebration of Tree Day, which falls on January 15th every year.
The deans of the faculties, a number of members of the teaching and administrative staff, and a group of students participated in planting (100) forest trees.
Prof. Al-Widyan said during the celebration that this day is closely related to belonging and the practical concept of citizenship in relation to construction and development, noting that the University systematically instills in the minds and hearts of its students the concepts of leadership, initiative and volunteerism in creating the future generation.
At the end of the celebration, the University president presented the University’s shield to the delegate of His Excellency the Minister, the sponsor of the ceremony, in appreciation of his sincere efforts and sponsorship of the University’s celebration of this day.
