New Scientific Achievement for Amman Arab University: Dr. Sara Nasser Al-Din Wins the 2025 UK Alumni Award for Business and Innovation in Jordan

Dr. Sara Nasser Al-Din, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, has achieved a remarkable scientific accomplishment by winning the 2025 UK Alumni Award in the category of Business and Innovation for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, qualifying her for international competition. This achievement was in recognition of her outstanding innovation in developing a new topical treatment for fungal skin infections, as well as her efforts in turning this innovation into a pioneering commercial project that fosters innovation in the pharmaceutical field.

It is worth noting that this accomplishment began with the support of Amman Arab University’s administration, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Wadyan, who encourages faculty members with innovative ideas, and continued with the ongoing support from Professor Dr. Rania Abu Hwij, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy. This distinction is part of the prestigious UK Alumni Awards (Study UK Alumni Awards), an award presented by the British Council. It is granted to international graduates who studied in the UK and have made a distinguished contribution to their communities or fields of work. These awards aim to highlight the global impact of British education by honoring graduates who have made a positive difference after returning to their home countries, demonstrating excellence in their professional fields, or implementing innovative projects that have a positive impact on society.

This achievement reflects the vision of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University, which is focused on leadership and excellence. It also embodies the faculty’s commitment to providing a supportive environment for research, development, and encouraging innovation and academic excellence. The award highlights the university’s ability to bridge scientific research and entrepreneurship, further enhancing its role as a leading academic institution striving for excellence at both local and international levels.
