Interactive Lecture on "Designing Vocational Education Buildings" for Architecture Students at Amman Arab University
The Department of Architecture Engineering at Amman Arab University organized a lecture titled "Designing Vocational Education Buildings" for students of the Architecture Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering in general, and for students of the Graduation Project Course (2) in particular. The lecture was presented by Engineer Bashar Al-Bitar, Deputy General Manager of "Al-Bitar Consulting Engineers and Project Managers" and former Head of the Architectural Section at the Jordan Engineers Association. The event was supervised by Professor Dr. Hanan Ahmad, with the follow-up of Dr. Malik Al-Salem, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Ruba Al-Omari, Head of the Department of Architecture Engineering.
During the lecture, Engineer Al-Bitar reviewed the essential design principles and criteria for vocational education buildings, highlighting the international standards that must be followed in this field. He also shared insights from his practical experience by presenting case studies of key projects he has designed, including the design of the Salt Technical College at Al-Balqa Applied University in Salt, the Naval Building in Aqaba, also part of Al-Balqa Applied University, as well as the design of the Excellence Centers – College of Technology Engineering. Additionally, he provided examples of similar international case studies.
