Pharmacy Faculty Holds Advanced Lab Safety Course
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Amman Arab University has organized an advanced training course on "Handling Chemicals and General Safety in Laboratories," presented by lab safety expert Dr. Adel Ardekani.
The course targeted laboratory supervisors from the Faculties of Pharmacy and Applied Medical Sciences. It combined theory and practical application, covering key areas such as safe chemical storage and classification, proper handling and transport, emergency response to spills and accidents, and safe disposal of chemical waste according to international standards.
Professor Dr. Rana Abu Huwaij, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, stated that the course aligns with the faculty's strategic plan to ensure a safe and sustainable educational environment, emphasizing that student and staff safety is a top priority. Participants expressed their appreciation for this qualitative training initiative.
