
The College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University (AAU) conducted a workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence Applications in Cybersecurity" at the Arab University College of Technology
Based on Amman Arab University's commitment to fostering cooperation and community service between academic and professional institutions, the College of Information Technology organized this workshop at the Arab University College of Technology. The workshop was presented by Dr. Ayman Ghaben and Dr. Dr. Tariq Bishtawi, faculty members of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University.
The lecture addressed the applications of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity for students majoring in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence within the international BTEC program. It was attended by Professor Dr. Yahya Salameh Khraisat, Dean of the Arab University College of Technology; Vice Dean Dr. Hassan Qassem; and several faculty members. During the lecture, Dr. Ghaben and Dr. Bishtawi discussed the most prominent applications of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, its role in detecting, analyzing, and effectively countering cyber threats, and the major future challenges facing this vital sector. They also emphasized the importance of preparing specialized personnel with advanced technical skills who are capable of keeping pace with the rapid developments in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
The lecture witnessed significant student engagement, with numerous questions, inquiries, and insightful contributions that enriched the discussion and enhanced students’ understanding of the presented content.
The event concluded with the presentation of commemorative shields to Dr. Ghaben and Dr. Bishtawi in recognition of their distinguished efforts and active contributions to strengthening academic cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two institutions. This collaboration supports the educational process, fosters the development of joint programs, and opens broader horizons for scientific and research partnerships.
In this regard, Dr. Rami Sahwil, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, emphasized that such visits and joint activities effectively serve the local community and enhance the exchange of expertise and knowledge between educational institutions, positively impacting the quality of education and its outcomes.
