The Faculty of Aviation Sciences at Amman Arab University was established in the 2017/2018 academic year through a strategic collaboration with the Royal Jordanian Air Academy, followed by a partnership with the Middle East Aviation Academy in 2020/2021. The Faculty is dedicated to offering cutting-edge programs that meet the highest international standards. Our Undergraduate Programs
Housed within the Aircraft Maintenance Department, our flagship bachelor's programs are designed to be pioneers in the region:
1. Bachelor of Aircraft Maintenance (B1.1): Launched in 2017-2018, this was the first program in the Arab world to offer a bachelor's degree in this field, comprising 137 credit hours.
2. Bachelor of Avionics (B2): Commencing in the 2022-2023 academic year (137 credit hours), this program holds the distinction of being the first and only Avionics B2 bachelor's program in the Arab world.
3. Bachelor of Aviation Management: A recent addition for the 2025-2026 academic year (132 credit hours), this program is the first of its kind in the Kingdom.
Looking forward, the Faculty aims to expand its specializations in the coming years to include Commercial Aviation and Air Safety, in continued partnership with the Middle East Aviation Academy.

Our Educational Philosophy
Our programs are built on a foundation of critical thinking, technical problem-solving, and fostering creative ideas. We equip students with global practical expertise, preparing them throughout their studies to obtain prestigious licenses from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (JCARC).
The dedicated faculty and staff at the College are committed to preparing graduates who are not only skilled technicians but also responsible citizens, ready to meet societal challenges through an education that blends strong academics with professional knowledge.
Accreditations and Quality Assurance
In alignment with the University's commitment to international accreditation, the Faculty of Aviation Sciences has achieved the following esteemed credentials:
• Accreditation and membership by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI): The Faculty has been awarded a five-year AABI accreditation (2025-2030) for its Bachelor of Aircraft Maintenance program, which has been offered since 2017-2018. This achievement places the Faculty first in the Arab world and eighth globally. This accreditation recognizes the Faculty as a training institute that meets AABI's rigorous quality standards and demonstrates the program's success in achieving learning outcomes for an internationally recognized degree.
• EASA Part 147 Training Organization Approval: In 2022-2023, the Faculty received approval from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency as a training organization and examination center for both the Aircraft Maintenance (B1.1) and Avionics (B2) programs, after fulfilling all the stringent requirements for these specializations.
Our Learning Environment
We provide an immersive learning environment that simulates real-world industry conditions. This is achieved through access to the workshops of our partners—formerly the Royal Jordanian Air Academy and currently the Middle East Aviation Academy—complemented by the distinguished academic and administrative staff at the University who bring a wealth of scientific and practical expertise.
Future Outlook
The Faculty's leadership is focused on securing further prestigious American and European accreditations for its other programs as they become eligible. A key strategic goal is the introduction of a Master's program in Aircraft Maintenance, which would be the first of its kind in the Kingdom, solidifying our position as a leader in aviation education.
