Amman Arab University (AAU) Continues to Solidify its Leadership with Four Projects Qualifying for the "Entleq" Finals among the Jordan Elite

In a new achievement added to its record of leadership and excellence, Amman Arab University has further strengthened its position as a leading academic institution in supporting innovation and applied research. Four outstanding student projects from the Collages of Engineering and Information Technology have qualified for the final stage of the "Entleq" competition, organized by the King Hussein Fund for Graduation Projects in Jordanian Universities. These projects were selected among the top ten in the Kingdom within their respective fields. This achievement was made possible through the support and coordination of the University's Center for Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, which oversaw the announcement of the competition, the nomination of projects, and their participation. This comes as part of its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of innovation among students.

The qualification of these projects reflects the advanced level attained by graduates of Amman Arab University and demonstrates students' ability to apply theoretical knowledge to develop effective practical solutions that respond to societal needs and address contemporary challenges. From the Collage of Engineering, the qualifying projects include “Sustainable Solutions from Sludge: Biodegradable Plastics, Water Purification, and Fuel Cell Integration,” prepared by students Adnan Al-Ghazawi, Abdullah Abu Rabie, Nadwan Al-Qudah, and Sahl Jawabra under the supervision of Dr. Ayman Agha, as well as “Smart Design Strategies for Water Supply and Wastewater Systems,” prepared by students Amjad Assi, Mohammad Abu Farah, Mohammad Awad, and Yazan Abu Salim under the supervision of Dr. Omar Asad Ahmad. These projects reflect advanced engineering approaches focused on sustainability and enhancing resource management efficiency.

From the Collage of Information Technology, the qualifying projects include “Adaptive Defense: Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Advanced Protection,” prepared by students Roza Murad and Elham Thalji under the supervision of Dr. Wala'a AlOmari, and “Hear Me?” prepared by students Ahmed Rashid and Hidayah Yassin under the supervision of Dr. Kamal Alieyan. These projects highlight the excellence of the collage's students in developing advanced digital solutions in cybersecurity and smart healthcare technologies.

The significance of these projects lies in their ability to address strategic issues across vital sectors, including the environment, energy, water, cybersecurity, and healthcare. This reflects a high level of awareness among Amman Arab University students regarding sustainable development priorities and the needs of local and regional markets.

The selected projects are scheduled to participate in the National Exhibition during the first week of June, where students will have the opportunity to present their innovations to representatives from institutions, companies, centers of excellence, and investment funds. This will enhance the potential for transforming these projects into entrepreneurial initiatives with tangible economic and developmental impact.

In this context, Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering, emphasized that this achievement reflects the high level of excellence demonstrated by the college’s students and their ability to deliver innovative engineering solutions. He also noted the college’s commitment to supporting applied projects that enhance students’ readiness for the job market.

Dr. Rami Sihwail, Dean of the College of Information Technology, stated that this qualification reflects the high competence of students in advanced technological fields, particularly artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. He emphasized continued support for digital innovation and the development of high-quality projects that contribute to building a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.

Dr. Samer Ayasrah, Director of the Center for Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, confirmed that this achievement reflects the center’s efforts to support and empower students, motivating them to transform their ideas into applied projects. This is achieved by identifying, supporting, and nominating high-quality projects for national competitions, thereby enhancing their chances of success and real-world impact.

This achievement represents the culmination of Amman Arab University’s approach to providing an integrated and stimulating educational environment that fosters innovation. This approach is based on distinguished academic supervision, effective alignment between educational outcomes and labor market requirements, and encouragement of participation in national and international forums. Through this accomplishment, Amman Arab University reaffirms its commitment to its motto of leadership and excellence, and to preparing a generation capable of transforming ideas into achievements and contributing effectively to sustainable development.
