
Faculty of Sharia at Amman Arab University (AAU) Holds Welcoming Meeting for its Students
In line with Amman Arab University's commitment to fostering productive academic interaction between students and faculty members, and to instilling a spirit of belonging and perseverance from the start of the new academic year, the Faculty of Sharia at Amman Arab University held an in-person welcoming meeting. Dr. Kefah Alsouri, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia, met with the Faculty's students, in the presence of Dr. Alaa Al-Bourini, Head of the Sharia Department, and a number of faculty members.
Dr. Al-Souri opened the meeting with a welcoming address to the students, expressing her happiness at their joining the Faculty of Sharia family. She emphasized that the Faculty of Sharia at Amman Arab University is a scientific beacon that seeks to combine authenticity and contemporaneity in the study of Islamic sciences. She also praised the importance of adhering to the ethical and scientific values that distinguish the Faculty's students, urging everyone to invest their years of study in acquiring the skills and competencies that qualify them for excellence in the job market and for serving the community. She added that Amman Arab University gives students special care by providing a stimulating academic environment based on constructive dialogue, interaction, and thinking, alongside extracurricular activities that contribute to building a character balanced scientifically and humanely.
For her part, Dr. Al-Bourini gave an introductory presentation about the study plans and academic guidance mechanisms, explaining the Department's role in following up with students and providing them with academic and advisory support. She also stressed the importance of constant communication with faculty members and benefiting from their expertise to achieve the best educational learning outcomes.
The meeting witnessed an open dialogue between the students and faculty members, addressing various academic and student issues. Students were given the opportunity to raise their inquiries and suggestions in an atmosphere of cordiality and positive interaction. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Al-Souri expressed her thanks to all attendees, affirming that the Faculty of Sharia at Amman Arab University will remain a role model in combining profound knowledge and lofty values, and in preparing a conscious generation capable of contributing to the service of religion, nation, and society.
