This event is part of a series of humanitarian initiatives launched by the faculty during the Holy Month of Ramadan to support underprivileged groups and strengthen the values of social solidarity and compassion.
A Day of Joy and Solidarity
The Faculty of Pharmacy hosted more than 45 children from the Sweileh Orphan Care Center. The event featured a group Iftar held in a warm and giving atmosphere, complemented by a diverse program of entertainment and interactive activities designed to bring smiles to the children's faces. The program included:
• Recreational Activities: Face painting and interactive games with balloons.
• Group Sessions: Various team-based activities to engage the children.
• Gifts & Support: The distribution of toys, sweets, and Eid clothing to all participating children.
This initiative reflected the profound meanings of human solidarity and successfully brought joy and festive cheer to the hearts of the young guests. Leadership and Student Engagement
The event was held with the participation of Professor Rana Abu Huwaij, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, along with members of the teaching and administrative staff. Members of the Pharmacy Students Club played a pivotal role in organizing the segments and interacting directly with the children, showcasing a vibrant spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility.
"These humanitarian initiatives align with Amman Arab University’s mission to serve the community and instill values of compassion, especially during Ramadan," said Prof. Abu Huwaij. She added that such activities are essential for developing a culture of giving among students and enhancing their sense of responsibility toward local social causes.
Extending a Helping Hand
In a related charitable effort, the Faculty of Pharmacy also prepared and distributed 25 Ramadan food parcels containing essential supplies to several beneficiaries among the university’s staff. This initiative further highlights the spirit of brotherhood and communal support fostered by the Holy Month.
