The Faculty of Aviation Sciences at Amman Arab University (AAU) organized a specialized workshop titled "Communication and Navigation ND-PFD."

As part of Amman Arab University’s commitment to enhancing the practical aspect of its students and elevating their technical and cognitive skills in line with the rapid developments in the aviation sector, and under the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Wadian, President of Amman Arab University, and with the support of Professor Dr. Malek Al-Salem Al-Anaqra, Dean of the College of Aviation Sciences, the college organized a specialized training workshop entitled "Communication and Navigation ND-PFD", delivered by Engineer Ahmad Al-Omari from the Middle East Aviation Academy.

The workshop addressed an advanced practical explanation of navigation and communication systems associated with the Navigation Display (ND) and Primary Flight Display (PFD) in modern aircraft. Engineer Al-Omari reviewed the basic concepts of how these systems operate, the mechanisms for reading the data and information displayed on cockpit screens, in addition to clarifying their vital role in supporting safe flight operations and enhancing pilots’ and engineers’ awareness of operational indicators related to navigation and communication systems.

The workshop also highlighted the practical applications of aviation communication and navigation systems, the importance of their integration within the modern aviation system, and their role in improving the accuracy of air navigation and enhancing decision-making efficiency inside the cockpit, thereby contributing to achieving the highest standards of aviation safety and operational reliability in the aviation sector.

The workshop witnessed notable engagement from the students through the raising of many questions and inquiries related to the mechanisms of operation of ND and PFD systems, and how to deal with potential malfunctions, in addition to presenting real-life examples from the working environment in the aviation sector. Engineer Al-Omari provided comprehensive answers supported by his practical experience in the field of navigation and communication systems and aircraft maintenance.
