The Faculty of Aviation Sciences at Amman Arab University (AAU) held an interactive meeting for its students and graduates.

As part of Amman Arab University’s commitment to strengthening effective communication with its students and alumni, and to promoting a culture of constructive dialogue that contributes to the development of the educational process and the enhancement of academic services, and under the directives of Professor Mohammad Al-Wadian, the University President, Professor Malek Al-Salem Al-Anaqra, Dean of the Faculty of Aviation Sciences, met with new students and graduates of the faculty. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmad Al-Hasban, Head of the Department of Aviation Science and Management, along with faculty members.

This meeting comes as part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to follow up on students’ academic and professional affairs, and to listen to their opinions and suggestions in a way that enhances the quality of education and keeps pace with the requirements of the aviation sector.

Professor Al-Anaqra opened the meeting with a welcoming speech in which he expressed his happiness at the new students joining Amman Arab University. He emphasized that the Faculty of Aviation Sciences strives, from the very first moment, to create a supportive and motivating educational environment that helps students smoothly integrate into university life, fosters a sense of responsibility and belonging, and supports their academic and professional journey.

He also pointed out that the faculty places at the top of its priorities the provision of high-quality academic and training programs, as well as modern facilities and equipment that contribute to building qualified competencies capable of competing in the local, regional, and international job markets.

With regard to the new students, the meeting addressed a number of topics related to their transition to university life. Their opinions were heard regarding their initial experience at the university, the extent of their integration into the educational environment, and their impressions of the university’s various facilities and the academic, administrative, and technical services provided.

In addition, the services offered by the Faculty of Aviation Sciences at Amman Arab University to support students were introduced, such as academic advising, continuous follow-up on their academic progress, and the provision of practical training opportunities and professional qualification. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of adhering to university regulations and instructions, and making use of the available resources to achieve academic excellence and professional success.

Professor Al-Anaqra also emphasized to the graduates the importance of maintaining continuous communication with them and considering them essential partners in the journey of development and excellence, given their practical experience, which contributes to enhancing the quality of academic programs and aligning them with labor market needs. During the meeting, graduates’ experiences in their various positions within the aviation sector were discussed, and their opinions and observations were heard regarding the skills and knowledge required by the labor market. In addition, ways to enhance future employment and training opportunities for the faculty’s students were explored, and graduates were encouraged to transfer their expertise to current students and contribute to supporting the faculty’s progress.

In turn, Dr. Al-Hasban affirmed that the faculty places great importance on following up with students from the moment they enroll at Amman Arab University until their graduation and integration into the labor market. He pointed out that feedback from students and graduates is an important indicator for developing study plans and improving the quality of educational outcomes. He also stressed the importance of enhancing students’ scientific and practical skills, and developing their abilities in communication, teamwork, and professional commitment, in line with international standards in the aviation sector.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Al-Anaqra expressed his thanks and appreciation to the new students and graduates for their active participation and positive engagement, affirming that the Faculty of Aviation Sciences will continue to organize such regular meetings that strengthen communication between the faculty administration and its students and graduates, and contribute to achieving its vision of academic and professional excellence and serving the community.
