Dr. Suhaila Banat from Amman Arab University’s College of Educational Sciences Participates in International Conference on Family-Deprived Individuals

Under the patronage of Her Excellency Minister of Social Development, Ms. Wafa Bani Mustafa, and organized by the Sumou Association for Culture and Arts in collaboration with Amman Arab University, Dr. Suhaila Banat, a faculty member at the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences, participated in the International Conference titled "Family-Deprived Individuals from a Humanitarian Perspective." The conference was held from April 26-27, 2025, under the directives of Dr. Wafa Al-Eid, Dean of the College of Educational and Psychological Sciences at Amman Arab University.

Dr. Banat presented a research paper titled "The Impact of Foster Care on Family-Deprived Individuals," highlighting foster care as a humanitarian and social approach to supporting children without family support. She emphasized the significant positive effects of foster care on both the fostered child and the host family. Additionally, she shared practical experiences and field insights on working with foster families, addressing the educational and psychological challenges that may arise while caring for fostered children and adolescents. The paper provided scientific recommendations on mechanisms to handle these challenges, ensuring the success of foster care and achieving its humanitarian and educational goals
