Dr. Ammari from "Amman Arab" (AAU) Participates in International Conference on "English Language and Translation in the AI Era"
In line with the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Amman Arab University's pursuit to enhance its academic and research presence at both local and international levels, and reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence and research contributions, Dr. Raeda Ammari, a faculty member in the Faculty, participated in an international conference titled "Insights into Linguistics, Literature, and Translation Studies in the AI Era". The conference was held in cooperation with the Association of Professors of English and Translation in Arab Universities (APETAU).
During the conference, Dr. Ammari presented a research paper titled "ChatGPT as a Research Writing Tool: Perspectives of English Major Students in a Private University". The paper explored students' perceptions regarding the use of artificial intelligence tools, particularly ChatGPT, in supporting academic research writing. It highlighted the benefits of leveraging AI for developing research writing skills, while also discussing challenges related to critical thinking, authenticity, and ethical considerations. This participation formed a valuable opportunity to interact with an elite group of researchers and specialists in the fields of linguistics, literature, and translation, exchange academic expertise, and contribute to enriching the scientific dialogue on integrating AI technologies into higher education.
This participation is part of Amman Arab University's efforts to keep pace with research developments in the fields of language, literature, and translation, and to shed light on the impacts of artificial intelligence on humanities and academic disciplines.
