
College of Law at "Amman Arab" (AAU) Organizes Field Visit to the Grand Criminal Court to Enhance Students' Practical Understanding
In line with Amman Arab University's commitment to integrating theoretical education with practical application and preparing a legal generation possessing precise knowledge and a conscious awareness of the responsibilities of justice, the Law Department in the Faculty of Law organized a scientific field visit to the Grand Criminal Court. This visit falls within the Faculty's plan to connect students with the real legal environment and enhance their practical skills.
The students of Amman Arab University were received by Judge Ahmad Al-Qatranah, President of the Grand Criminal Court, who expressed his welcome to the students and emphasized the importance of the judiciary's openness to academic institutions to create a qualified legal generation proficient in the tools of justice. Judge Al-Qatranah provided a detailed legal presentation covering the court's jurisdiction, the types of cases it adjudicates, and the working mechanisms and procedures followed during the investigation and trial stages according to the Code of Criminal Procedure, citing real cases from various fields that the court handles.
The students from the Faculty of Law at Amman Arab University showed distinguished interaction with the detailed legal presentation through their purposeful interventions and questions, which reflected their deep understanding of the nature of judicial work and their keenness to comprehend its practical aspects. They expressed their pride in witnessing a robust judicial system that embodies the values of justice, the rule of law, and the prestige of the Jordanian state. They also extended their great appreciation to Judge Al-Qatranah for the rich experience and knowledge he shared, which reflects the depth and leadership of the Jordanian judicial experience.
