College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University (AAU) Honors Its Outstanding Stu.dents in Scientific and Technical Competitions

As part of Amman Arab University’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and innovation, the College of Information Technology honored a distinguished group of its students who achieved outstanding accomplishments during the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year. These students actively participated in scientific and technical competitions at the national university level, achieving notable results that reflect their dedication, perseverance, and high level of academic and practical competence. Such achievements contribute to strengthening the university’s presence in specialized technological forums.

The ceremony recognized students who excelled in several scientific and technological competitions, demonstrating advanced levels of professionalism and technical expertise. In the field of cybersecurity, a team of female students—Roa’a Wshah, Manar Alass, Tyaf Al-Helo, Yasmin Qaraqesh, and Jood Abuhamada—won third place in the SheHacks 2025 competition, reflecting their excellence and ability to compete in advanced technical environments.

Students who participated in the IEEE Jordan Cybersecurity Challenge 2025 were also honored. The team consisting of Saif Al-Tamimi, Amin Sanjaq, Osama Ismail, and Abdullah Al-Sharqawi achieved third place, while another team—Bayan Subha, Ahmed Obeidat, Rama Al-Baradei, and Zahraa Al-Zarouri—secured first place in the Advanced Crypto category, confirming their distinction in specialized technical fields.

In addition, the ceremony recognized students who participated in the live hacking competition at the C8 2025 Conference, where Amer Ghaith, Abdul Rahman Al-Qaisi, and Mohammad Al-Ajarmeh achieved second place, highlighting their high capabilities in applied cybersecurity.

In the field of artificial intelligence, a team consisting of Amer Jihad Ghaith, Abdul Rahman Hisham Al-Qaisi, and Omar Mohammad Al-Sawafin achieved second place in the Simera Competition, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad Al-Ajarmeh. This achievement reflects their skills in innovation and the effective application of intelligent technologies.

Furthermore, in the field of health innovation and health technologies, student Lin Nidal Abdul Latif Nawfal was honored for winning second place in the “Impacting Future Health” Hackathon, highlighting her ability to develop innovative solutions that serve the healthcare sector.

On this occasion, Dr. Rami Sahwil, Dean of the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University, emphasized that these achievements reflect the advanced level reached by the college’s students and represent the outcome of continuous support from the university and college administration, as well as a stimulating academic environment that promotes creativity, excellence, and positive competition. He commended the efforts of the students and their academic supervisors and affirmed the college’s commitment to continuing its support for meaningful participation in scientific and technical competitions, given their vital role in enhancing students’ skills and professional readiness.
