
"ARAB AMMAN PHARMACY" (AAU) PARTICIPATES IN THE VOLUNTEERS’ FORUM OF THE "SWAR Al-HUSSEIN" PROGRAM
Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, and as part of Amman Arab University’s ongoing commitment to supporting humanitarian and community initiatives and promoting a culture of volunteerism among youth, the Faculty of Pharmacy participated in the Siwar Al-Hussein Volunteers Forum.
Amman Arab University was represented at the forum by Dr. Majdoleen Alalawneh, faculty member at the Faculty of Pharmacy, who engaged with volunteers, encouraged them to continue their humanitarian efforts, and attended the recognition ceremony honoring volunteers for their outstanding contributions to supporting cancer patients.
Dr. Alalawneh emphasized that the Faculty’s participation reflects the University’s commitment to introducing students to impactful national initiatives and encouraging them to engage in community service and humanitarian work, thereby strengthening values of compassion, social responsibility, and volunteerism among students. She further noted that the Siwar Al-Hussein Program empowers young volunteers to provide psychological and moral support to cancer patients while promoting solidarity and community cooperation.
Through its participation, Amman Arab University reaffirms its mission to prepare graduates who are socially conscious, committed to community service, and actively engaged in supporting national and humanitarian causes.
The Siwar Al-Hussein Volunteer Program, an initiative of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, offers individuals the opportunity to contribute their time and efforts to support the fight against cancer. The program’s name symbolizes the bracelet that unites volunteers in a strong, connected circle committed to a noble humanitarian mission.
