
Amman Arab University (AAU) Students Secure Third Place in "Tek Arabi" Hackathon 2025
Demonstrating Amman Arab University's commitment to enhancing student participation in all local and international forums and affirming the distinguished capabilities of its students in technology and innovation, several student teams from the University took part in the "Tek Arabi" Hackathon 2025. The event was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and witnessed wide participation from creators and individuals interested in technology and entrepreneurship from across the Kingdom. "Tek Arabi" is considered the largest youth tech gathering in Jordan, serving as a qualitative platform to empower youth, enhance the digital innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, and stimulate creative ideas that contribute to supporting the national economy. The competitions spanned two consecutive days, during which student teams engaged in intense competition to develop innovative solutions across various fields.
In an achievement that reflects the distinction and leadership of Amman Arab University students in technology and innovation, the "Ghost" team from the College of Information Technology secured third place at the Kingdom level. The team consisted of students: Jehad Al-Awda, Mariam Ghassan, Noor Abul-Filat, and Abdulrahman Najadat. The University was also represented by several other teams in the hackathon, including: Team "4*4": Students Omar Al-Sawafin, Baraa Al-Ameer, Yousef Yasen, and Ahmad Nabras from the College of Information Technology. Team "Pixie dul": Students Lynn Nawfal and Bisan Jamal from the College of Information Technology. Team "Mhalabiya": Students Lara Shehadeh, Mohammad Darawsheh, and Mohammad Hayek from the College of Information Technology. And Team "Spotlight": Students Samira Al-Dweik and Khadija Shaheen from the College of Engineering.
The participation of these teams was facilitated through the joint efforts of the IEEE Amman Arab University Student Branch and the University's Center for Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
On this occasion, the Center for Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at Amman Arab University congratulated the "Ghost" team on this achievement, appreciating the participation of all teams. It reaffirmed the University's ongoing commitment to encouraging its students to engage in local and international competitions and hackathons, as they provide exceptional opportunities to develop their academic expertise and enhance their practical and personal skills.
