
Amman Arab University Ranks Fourth Nationally in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025
Demonstrating Amman Arab University’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and sustainable development goals, the university has achieved a new qualitative milestone—ranking fourth among Jordanian universities and 61st among Arab universities in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. Globally, it secured a position within the 601–800 band.
The university attained advanced results across key ranking criteria: Top 101–200 globally for SDG 4: Quality Education,301–400 band for SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,401–600 band for SDG 1: No Poverty.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, expressed his delight at these results despite 355 new universities entering the ranking this year. He affirmed that this achievement reinforces the university’s standing as a pioneering institution aligned with future aspirations through a strategic vision centered on innovation, community partnership, and sustainability. This vision drives its contributions to serving society locally and globally.
Dr. Al-Widyan added that this accomplishment results from exceptional efforts by the university’s faculty, administrative staff, and students. He emphasized that these outcomes stem from collective work and strategic planning guided by a clear vision to deliver quality education and research that actively advances sustainable development goals nationally and internationally.
THE Impact Rankings represent a premier global evaluation, measuring universities’ commitment to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These encompass education, health, justice, environment, equality, innovation, and other global objectives aimed at building a more sustainable and inclusive future.
