Amman Arab University Hosts One of Its Graduates for a Lecture on "The Reality of Financial Leasing Companies in Jordan"
Reflecting Amman Arab University’s commitment to fostering connections between students and alumni and facilitating the exchange of practical expertise—under the guidance of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, the University President, and with the support of Dr. Ahoud Al-Khasawneh, Dean of the College of Business—the Finance Department at the College of Business hosted graduate Basil Al-Hamayda. Al-Hamayda delivered a specialized lecture titled "The Reality of Financial Leasing Companies in Jordan," attended by Dr. Raad Al-Samadi, Dr. Mohanad Al-Majali, and a group of third-year Finance students.
Al-Hamayda provided a brief overview of his work at "Ijara for Financial Leasing," the company he joined after graduation and where he had previously trained during his studies as part of the field training course. During the lecture, he explained the operational mechanisms of financial leasing companies, their role in supporting economic activities, and the key challenges facing the sector. He also shared his post-graduation professional journey, highlighting the skills required to succeed in this field and offering career advice for students interested in working in finance and financial leasing companies. He emphasized the importance of linking theoretical knowledge with practical application.
The lecture saw notable engagement from students, who raised numerous questions about the nature of financial leasing companies and the career opportunities available in the sector. Al-Hamayda addressed their inquiries, providing valuable insights based on his experience. This initiative is part of a series of meetings organized by the Finance Department at Amman Arab University with graduates, aiming to strengthen ties between students and the job market, broaden their professional horizons, and bridge academic knowledge with practical applications in the financial sector.
