
Amman Arab University (AAU) Holds an Introductory Session on the Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work
The Deanship of Student Affairs at Amman Arab University, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth, organized an introductory session on the Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work. The session was attended by Dr. Khitam Al-Abadi, representing the Ministry of Youth, Dr. Mohammad Bin Tarif, the Dean of Student Affairs at the University, along with a number of academic and administrative staff members and students from various disciplines.
During the session, Dr. Al-Abadi provided a detailed explanation of the award, its objectives, and the role played by the Ministry of Youth in supporting a culture of volunteerism and promoting the values of belonging and giving among Jordanian youth, particularly university students. She also emphasized the importance of active participation in such national initiatives that contribute to community development and the enhancement of youth capabilities.
For his part, Dr. Bin Tarif stressed the interest of Amman Arab University and the Deanship of Student Affairs in volunteer work as a fundamental pillar in building students' character and honing their skills. He pointed out that the University hosts the Deanship's Volunteer Club, which aims to motivate and encourage students to engage in voluntary activities that reflect a civilized image of Jordan's youth.
The session saw notable interaction from the students, who asked questions and inquired about the participation mechanisms for the award and ways to get involved in volunteer activities. This reflected their enthusiasm and belief in the importance of volunteer work and its role in serving the community.
